This web site is dedicated to those who have touched my life and my heart. These people fought a tough battle and some are still fighting. They did not fight in a war per say and they were not in 9/11. But they too are heroes of a different kind. They showed me what courage really is and to embrace life as it would be my last day every moment. Embrace Serenity is here for those who need support. It doesn't matter if you have cancer, know someone with cancer or you are a survivor of cancer. It doesn't matter what kind of cancer you have. Cancer is cancer and we all need information and support.

The power of information is the power to survive and to support others in need!

My goal and reason for doing this site is to inform people of all the latest information possible and to give support for those in need of support. No one should have to deal with cancer alone. I personally know how cancer can strike and the tough journey that some have to face and go through. My Father was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on May 21, 1999 and passed away on July 7, 2001. He is the driving force in which I am doing this site. To help others find the information necessary for understanding the type of cancer they have or a loved one has. To find support is so important knowing there is someone out there that cares, understands and companionate in helping through the tough journey you must face. Cancer does not discriminate on who it will strike. It doesn't matter if you are a man nor women nor child. It doesn't care if you are black or white or any other culture. Cancer will strike anyone and those that it strikes also affects their loved ones as well. Everyone is affected in this disease and that hopefully one day will be wiped out completely.

We all live in hope and as long as there is hope there is life!

So hopefully this site will be the means for people to share a story of their loved one or an experience of what they went threw to help others deal and cope with cancer.

Over 80,720 women have been diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer and that cervical cancer is the number one cancer killer of women worldwide.

That being said, I thought you all would be interested to know about a new rock band with a purpose called N.E.D. The group is comprised of 6 musically talented gynecologic cancer surgeons hailing from all 4 corners of the USA.

The band's mission is to enhance knowlege about women's repoductive cancers, bring hope through rhythm for women undergoing treatment and to raising awarness not to mention money for the fight against the disease.

One of the ways they will be doing this is through their 6 song EP with styles rainging from indie rock, to arena rock, to jam/band to folk rock.

Net proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to the N.E.D Fund Of The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF)

to educate the public about gynecologic cancers and support promising research.   Both the physical and digital EP include an informational bookelet about gynecologic cancers entitled, "What Every Women Should Know."

The music and lyrics are ogringal, written by members of the band who collaborated primarily through video conferencing. Lyrically, the album explores a fresh and sympathetic approach to issues women with cancer and their families/friends have to face.
